In the mid to late 60' me and my fellow Bohemians - "dirty hippies" to some - piled into a VW van and somehow made our way to Northern California. San Francisco culture was exploding with music, art and pharmaceuticles, and all we knew was that we wanted to be part of it... and that we needed a bath really bad. There were chicks named Rainwater, people who no home and apparently, no name ("A name was just a label maaan"). There was free love and cool music everywhere, played by groovy new bands |

like Santana, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messanger Service and a lot of others. Local promotors held "dance concerts", where you could hang with the "beat" crowd. Chicks were doing these crazy dances... crazy, but you couldn't take your eyes off them. Amazing local artists did the posters for the dances and theartwork seemed to mirror the incredible music we were hearing. What a time it was.
